Dr. Lynn Sollenberger

The goal of Dr. Sollenberger’s research program is to develop new knowledge of plant-animal- environment interactions focusing on the ecosystem services of grasslands. He applies the knowledge gained through his research to develop sustainable and more efficient livestock production systems. His research team has acquired over $6 million in sponsored awards and produced approximately 750 publications including 290 refereed journal articles and 25 book chapters. He is a fellow of the Crop Science Society of America and the American Society of Agronomy, received the University of Florida Doctoral Mentoring Award, and was inducted into the University of Florida Academy of Distinguished Teaching Scholars. In 2017, he was recognized as a Giant of Agricultural Progress and Impacts from Public Agricultural Research by the Crop Science Society of America. He teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses that focus on forage ecology and management.
