K-12 TEACHERS’ VIRTUAL INSTITUTE ON AFRICA

The Center for African Studies at the University of Florida is offering a five-day Online (via Zoom) Summer Institute for K-12 teachers. The objective of the institute is for participants to increase their knowledge about Africa, including its geography, history, and literature. Participants will develop lesson plans for use in their classrooms. Participation in the online summer institute is free. In addition, participants who complete all assignments will receive a stipend of $400. Alachua county teachers will receive continuing education credit from the School Board.
