Virtual Exchange for Public Health initiative in Ghana Banner

Are you interested in global health, public health education, and cross-cultural collaboration?

The University of Florida is launching a virtual exchange initiative with the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Ghana to develop and implement a public health project for first aid education to school children and community members.

This initiative will be led by our Ghanaian partners, with guidance and mentorship from UF faculty across a variety of specialties. Students will act as content matter experts, supporting the Ghanaian leadership team in developing and delivering high-impact training resources.

Participant Details

We are seeking 10–15 dedicated UF students undergraduate juniors, seniors, and graduate students from any college or discipline who are passionate about global engagement and public health.

This is not a credit-earning course.

Participants should be able to:

  • Commit to monthly virtual meetings (Nov 2025 – May 2026), with ongoing contributions to project development between meetings
  • Collaborate with peers and faculty mentors across disciplines
  • Contribute ideas and feedback on first aid education, design and implementation
