Call for Proposals-
Spring/Summer 2025 Round
The Center for African Studies is offering funding for UF graduate students who will be presenting their Africa-focused research at conferences or equivalent academic events in Spring and Summer 2025, up the end of August 2025.
Grants of up to $500 will be made to eligible students who apply by the deadline of February 14th (5pm). Funds can only be used for conference fees, travel to/from the event, and accommodation costs during the conference.
Rules and eligibility
- Applicants must have been accepted to present some aspect of their research at a conference panel or equivalent (not simply be attending the conference)
- The conference must take place before the end of August 2025
- Successful applicants must submit receipts/invoices for approved costs to the CAS office within 30 days of the conference.
