Dr. Gennaro is associate professor of history and earned his PhD at UF. His publications include: “The Cause is a Worthy One: Sport in Lagos, Nigeria during WWII.” Journal of African Military History (2020); “Ban this Cruel Sport Boxing: Shaping the Ideal Masculine Citizen in Post-WWII Colonial Lagos.” Int’l Journal of African Historical Studies (2019); and Sport in African History, Politics and Identity Formation (co-editor, 2019).
