A Baraza with Moren Tibabo Stone, University of Botswana
Impacts of Conservation and Tourism on Indigenous Communities: the Case of the San in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve
Dr. Stone is a senior lecturer in the Department of Environmental Science and a recent Fulbright scholar hosted by CAS. His publications include: “Challenges of Community-based Tourism in Botswana: A Review of Literature.” Transactions of the Royal Society of South Africa (co-author, 2020); Natural Resources, Tourism and Community Livelihoods in Southern Africa: Challenges for Sustainable Development (co-editor, 2019); and “Protected Areas, Wildlife-based Community Tourism and Community Livelihoods Dynamics: Spiraling Up and Down of Community Capitals.” Journal of Sustainable Tourism (co-author, 2018).
