The 2023 Annual CAS Fall Party, held at the IFAS Straughn Center on October 11th, was a joyous celebration of the Center’s academic and cultural community. Over a hundred guests, including CAS faculty, students, staff, and valued community partners, came together for an unforgettable evening. The festivities commenced with a captivating performance by the Pazeni Sauti Choir, who skillfully presented a medley of songs from Eastern and Southern African regions, setting the stage for an evening filled with cultural richness.
Dr. Miles Larmer, CAS Director, welcomed both familiar and new faces to CAS with a heartfelt message of gratitude. He expressed appreciation for the warm embrace he received during his transition into the role of Director, reinforcing the strong sense of community within CAS. Later, DJ Tele continued to elevate the atmosphere with his Afrobeat selections, inspiring all guests to hit the dance floor. In addition, Bell’s Catering provided a delicious menu that further brought attendees together over a shared meal.
